DoniDent feat. Fimet

Published 20.02.2026

Dentist and dental technician Doni Morina first worked for several years as an employee in other organizations. He also served five years as the lead dentist in the field of surgery at Keusote (the Wellbeing Services County of Central Uusimaa).

In 2022, Doni acquired the business operations of Riihimäki Dental Clinic and focused on developing the company based on his strong professional experience. Since then, patients have begun coming from far beyond the Riihimäki region, which is also reflected in the company’s results. Within just a few years, the company’s revenue has increased 2.5-fold.

The cooperation between Doni Morina and Fimet started at the Finnish Dental Congress in Helsinki. The treatment units and cabinetry at the Riihimäki clinic were reaching the end of their service life, while plans were also underway to expand operations with a new private practice in Tikkurila, Vantaa.

Doni selected Fimet dental units for both locations. An F1 Arcus was installed for the dental hygienist in Riihimäki, along with a Neo Ceiling ceiling-mounted unit as the main treatment unit. The clinic was also equipped with Fimet suction systems and upgraded cabinetry. A Cattani dry suction system was installed at the Tikkurila practice.

Neo Ceiling, Dental Clinic Riihimäki

Fimet’s Neo Ceiling was a natural choice for Doni, who specializes in oral surgery. With both service and the factory located nearby, spare parts are available quickly — even on the same day if needed. Since only the patient chair is fixed to the floor, the setup provides more space to move around the patient.

“Neo Ceiling is an ergonomic solution. For example, if I’m operating on tooth 38, I can easily move myself to the other side using a saddle chair. This subtle movement keeps the patient calm and makes my work easier. We also have many patients over 60 who can remain in a wheelchair throughout the treatment,” Doni explains.

Another major advantage during the decision-making process was that no significant construction costs were required when setting up either clinic in Riihimäki or Tikkurila. In Riihimäki, the existing commercial premises would have made it challenging to install new drainage under the treatment unit. In Tikkurila, the clinic would have required an even more extensive renovation to run drainage pipes beneath the ground-floor slab. With the ceiling-mounted solution, all connections could be made directly to the vertical drainage line and the existing water supply connection.

While visiting Fimet’s booth at IDS, Doni also discovered the G.Comm Iris View dental light with integrated camera, designed specifically for surgical needs. The device was selected for installation on the Neo Ceiling unit at the Riihimäki clinic.

“The camera light allows me to work with greater precision and reduces the risk of treatment errors. Visualization is particularly valuable in prosthetic treatments. We can provide patients with the best possible care. Images can be taken to assess a torus or frenulum in detail. The dental technician can see actual images of the teeth instead of relying solely on an impression. Technically, this reduces the risk of incorrect treatment.

The camera provides better visibility than the naked eye and allows magnification deep into the root canal. When it comes to shade selection, I can show the patient directly how different color tones will look. Ultimately, the patient chooses the shade, and the image is saved in the patient records. This significantly reduces dissatisfaction with the final result.”

The biggest change has been in aesthetic dentistry. With the Iris View camera, Doni can take before-and-after images that appear instantly in the mobile app. They are easy to show and share, and the patient can also see details in real time directly on the screen.

“There’s no need to explain or name bacteria. I simply show the gums — and the patient is often speechless and understands immediately.”

Doni is a true customer service professional. Patients travel from further away as well, and they appreciate his straightforward way of communicating. When the patient can clearly see a cavity or a fracture on the screen — along with the final treated result — satisfaction is guaranteed on both sides.

In Doni’s home country, Kosovo.

We visited Doni’s former home country, Kosovo, together to explore different clinics and gain new perspectives. City centers are filled with dental clinics, and health tourism is growing rapidly.

This photo was taken from the rooftop of a new eight-storey private hospital currently under construction in Pristina. One entire floor is dedicated solely to dental care, and another floor will include a surgical robot — all designed specifically for international patients. As a small but telling detail, almost half of the building visible in the video has been built within the past five years.
