Shanghai Pharma’s Global Growth – Finland Unit in a Key Role

In 2021, Fimet became part of the Fortune Global 500 listed company Shanghai Pharmaceuticals Holding Co., Ltd. Shanghai Pharma is one of the largest pharmaceutical groups in China, with operations spanning pharmaceutical manufacturing, nationwide distribution, and international partnerships.

Recently, representatives from Shanghai Pharma’s top management visited our production unit in Finland, which is responsible for the design of dental treatment units as well as the manufacturing of devices sold in Europe. The visitors included Vice President Mr. Zhao Yong and Mr. Jun Yan, Chairman of the Board of the Finnish subsidiary.

In his address, Mr. Zhao emphasized Shanghai Pharma’s long-term commitment to developing the Finnish company and its products. Shanghai Pharma has strategically decided to centralize the development of dental equipment in Finland, reinforcing the unit’s role at the core of the Group’s future growth.

In 2024, Fimet’s main products also reached an important milestone by receiving MDR approval (Medical Device Regulation). This certification is crucial for the company’s future and its international competitiveness.
